Our Advent Giving Tree helps local families in need celebrate Christmas.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of the families we traditionally serve during the Advent and Christmas seasons through our annual Giving Tree. There continues to be a great need this year and the Linkages to Learning organization, Langley Park Ministries, and St. Francis de Sales are all counting on the St. Elizabeth Parish community for their generosity as they work to provide Christmas gifts to children and families in need.

In years past, we have provided gifts for over 300 children and we hope to do the same this year. Two $25 gift cards cover the cost of a toy and much-needed clothing items like winter coats, pants, shirts, gloves, and hats for each child. With this in mind, our goal is 500 $25 gift cards to distribute to the below organizations that are supporting many families in the DMV area.  We hope we can rely on you to help us spread a little bit of Christmas cheer!

Virtual Giving
When we began virtual giving during COVID and the communities preferred the gift cards to the toys and we were able to raise more funds than we have in prior years. Since the communities prefer gift cards we will continue to raise money online to purchase gift cards.

Linkages to Learning 

Wheaton Woods, Loiderman, Weller Road Schools Locations

Linkages to Learning is a community-school partnership that assists students and their families by providing or connecting them to services and resources. Each branch works to support student learning, build strong families, and develop healthy communities in partnership with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and other local public, private, and community agencies. 

Langley Park Ministries 

Langley Park-St. Elizabeth's outreach to the Catholic Community of Langley Park (a mission of St. Camillus parish) began in 2007. The focus has been on supporting the St. Camillus Food Pantry, annual collections of school supplies and winter clothing, teaching English as a second language, and using the annual advent tree to help meet priority needs. 

St. Frances de Sales

St. Frances de Sales is located in North East, DC.  You may remember Father Sanderfoot who is now their pastor. We have supported the children of this church for many years and the need is great.
