As directed by Archbishop Gregory for the entire Archdiocese of Washington, there will be no public Masses until March 28 as a precaution against further transmission of the coronavirus. Archbishop Gregory has dispensed all Catholics in the Archdiocese of Washington from the obligation to attend Mass during this period. Information about watching Mass on TV during this time is available here. Funerals and weddings may proceed during this time but attendance should be limited to the immediate family. Please note the following for St. E’s:
Come Home for Easter is on for tomorrow! Confessions available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Eucharistic Adoration from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Our church will remain open for private prayer during normal hours throughout the week.
Confessions will be heard at our usually scheduled times: 4 p.m. Saturdays, 7:00 p.m Wednesdays, and 11:00 a.m. first Fridays of the month.
Our priests will celebrate Masses privately every day, so all scheduled Mass intentions will be honored.
Our Lenten Holy Hours scheduled for March 10 & 24 are postponed. We will resume the Holy Hours as scheduled for March 31 & April 7 unless these restrictions are extended.
Our parish office will be closed to visitors through Friday, March 27. However, office staff will still be available to assist you via phone or email.
All parish meetings and activities scheduled through March 27 are postponed, including our school and Christian formation program. On-line alternatives are being offered in some cases.
Please pray for an end to this epidemic, healing for those infected, and courage for health care providers!
