This weekend we had the chance to come together - virtually - and reflect a little more on just how much God loves us and wants to forgive us when our hearts have been stained with sin! We talked about the stains that sin can leave on our hearts (like food coloring tainting a glass of clean, clear water) and how Jesus paid the price for our sins, allowing us to bring our sins to Him (in Reconciliation) and offers us His forgiveness and mercy to wipe the sins away.
We had a special appearance from Fr. Fields (for 2 of our 3 workshops) and he showed us how pain-free Confession really is.
The Church encourages us to participate in Reconciliation at least once a year - oftentimes we might choose to go during Lent, as we reflect on how Jesus suffered and died for our sins and Advent, as we prepare to welcome Jesus into our hearts on Christmas morning.
And of course, we talked about how, just like Joseph forgave his brothers for all that they did to him, God is always eager and ready to forgive us when we come to Him. (Genesis 37 & 45)
Check out some of our colorful (and yummy) creations!
