Any adult may participate in this ministry according to established guidelines and after proper training.Sacristans are parishioners who carefully prepare the elements necessary for the celebration of each Mass, including the sacred vessels, hosts, and the lighting of the candles at the altar. The foundation for all Sacristans is a deep love for the Eucharist and Christ’s Real Presence therein. The work is done behind the scenes, but it is a vital ministry.
