Adult Choir
The Adult Choir sings at the 10:30 am Mass on Sundays from September through June, as well as on various holy days throughout the year. Rehearsals are on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30pm in the church. The choir rehearses at 10:10 am on Sundays, just prior to the 10:30 am Mass at which it sings. The typical time commitment is three and a half hours per week (2 and a half hours of rehearsal, one hour of Mass).
Cantors
Cantors are the vocal leaders at all weekend and holy day liturgies. They encourage the assembly's singing and are responsible for teaching new songs and acclamations to the assembly. A pleasant singing voice and good public speaking skills are required. Cantors may be scheduled on Sundays at their convenience and preference. The typical time commitment is an hour and a half per week scheduled (an hour for mass, half-hour for rehearsal right before), not including any additional time spent prepping individually.
Instrumentalists
Any instrumentalists who can display a reasonable amount of proficiency on their instrument are welcome to play at our Sunday morning liturgies. Scheduling is flexible, and good sight-reading skills ae a must. Transposition skills (when applicable) are a plus, but not required. The typical time commitment is an hour and a half per week (an hour for mass, half-hour for any rehearsal needed right before).
6 pm Sunday Youth Mass
The Sunday 6 pm Youth Mass is provided by a youth band and singers under the direction of the Music Director. Rehearsal is at 5 pm on Sundays, and the typical time commitment is two hours per week (an hour for rehearsal, and an hour for Mass).
