Teresa has been a member of the St. Elizabeth's parish family since June 2009, when she moved to Rockville from South Korea. Teresa feels blessed and grateful for the wonderful priests, parishioners, and staff she has met at St. E’s since arriving as a newly baptized Catholic. 

Inspired by St. E’s focus on community and hospitality, Teresa serves in the various parish ministries, including choir, cantor, lector, EM, sacristan, and OCIA. Teresa has also served on the Parish Council since 2021. Teresa holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in chemical engineering from Seoul National University (S. Korea) and works as a research scientist at the U.S. Naval Academy. An avid traveler, she enjoys cooking (somewhere between Korean and American dishes), jogging, and listening to music in her spare time.
